As of December 1, 2010 and in reference to the US MILITARY BASE facilities projects in GUAM, the official JOB ORDERS from GUAM employers (or LIST of GUAM vacancies) are not yet received by POEA, hence recruitment of Filipino workers for GUAM cannot start yet.
The DELAY was caused by not yet approved release of CONSTRUCTION FUNDING from the US Government by the US Congress and the pending ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCES by GUAM government.
Another cause of the delay was the NATIONAL ELECTIONS and PROCLAMATION of local government officials in GUAM in October-November 2010.
To check if GUAM JOB ORDERS are received and approved for recruitment by POEA, such Job Orders and the Agency Names/Addresses of GUAM accredited Recruitment Agencies in the Philippines will be posted in POEA website: www.poea.gov.ph
Caution: beware of illegal Guam recruiters. If you do not see Guam job orders in POEA website, do not apply. However, as soon you see the Guam job orders in POEA website, you can immediately apply.
In view of above developments, there are NO scheduled interviews and NO hirings by GUAM employers until Job Orders are submitted to POEA.
TENTATIVE GUAM employers’ Interview may officially start (not yet sure – estimate only) on July 2011 and every month onward until December 2011 in the respective authorized Philippine agencies of seven (7) winning contractors for Guam projects.
